War Rug Prints
Pulled at Art Chicago 2003, Navy Pier
This was the first war rug I made in public, and the first public print pull as well. This is the third of three pulls, which also includes some of the cartoon from the base.
The pattern is bordered by tanks, with an interior framework of Kalashnikov rifles surrounding heavy artillery including helicopters, armored personnel carriers, landmines and grenades.
It is made of poppyseeds, paprika, coffee, dal, sesame, mace, turmeric, rice flour, pepper, salt.
